A minor from the Department of Nutritional Sciences can complement a wide range of academic interests while helping you develop valuable knowledge about nutrition, sport, and the body, as well as problem-solving skills to help you in your chosen career path. Our program provides useful preparation for careers and graduate programs related to health, nutrition, healthcare, public health, and other interdisciplinary fields.

Food Science 

This minor addresses food science as an academic discipline which utilizes approaches for solving applied science problems associated with the acquisition and processing of food. 

Nutrition for Exercise and Sport 

This minor explores the connection between nutrition and exercise to fuel bodies for peak physical performance. It is jointly offered by the Departments of Nutritional Sciences, Kinesiology, and Allied Health.
